Projects

  1. Public Spaces
A triangular ending point that penetrates the city forms the entrance of Kallithea station. The shape of this public space is given with elements such as steps, levels, platforms and benches and they form to the transition point between the station and the city.

The reception building of the station from the side of Kallithea, accommodates all the necessary services for the passengers of the train station: ticket-counter, observation post, etc. It is a large hall, connected directly with the gallery, which is located on the lower-ground level of the building, and expands under the platform.
Finally, the characteristic cast iron canopy structure and their balusters are traces of the old station and as such are preserved and at some cases are reinstalled over new bases, whilst the material of the canopy  is new.

This project was a collaboration with Attelier A66, Athens 2002.
