Office block at Heraklion
Projects
This building belongs to a small trianglular site in a pedestrian zone. In order to keep the scale small it is chosen a metal load bearing construction that lightness the whole and gives potentials for elaborated facades. The design of the three facades of the building where based on a module of 0.85 m. Τhe cladding of the external wall is a local limestone, with alucobond or betoform panels between the glass panels. There is a podium made of rugged concrete.The main staircase and the access to the elevator is outdoors. The 1st and the 2nd floor are destined for office use whilst the 3rd for small residence. The building is covered with a sloping roof covered with metal sheets.
