I completed/supervised for Hurleypalmerflatt the Radiance-Daylight and Light-Uniformity Analysis and produced the allied report of the academies listed bellow:
- Lord’s Hill
- Oasis Academy
- Witham Academy

Lord’s Hill
Room-by-Room Daylight Factor results on plan level

Radiance Model Output
The Daylight Analysis Study has assessed the spaces against the criteria set by BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology). In accordance to BREEAM requirements, in areas where desk based tasks are likely to be undertaken the Daylight Factor levels needs to be adequate (at least 2%) so that it would significantly reduce the requirement for electric lighting but also balanced against the negative effect of high heat gains. The uniformity ratio of the minimum illuminance and average illuminance on the working plane is also reviewed so that it can be assumed to be consistent throughout the space. In addition the View of Sky from desk height and the room depth criterion could also be reviewed with in this study.
Radiance is the softare tool that is used to simulate the average daylight factors (DF) and the uniformity ratio within each of the assessed rooms
